Who We Are
The Trans Caucus is committed to advancing equal rights for all transgender and gender nonconforming (GNC) individuals, regardless of identity. As part of the North Carolina Democratic Party, the Caucus engages in policy decisions and outreach efforts while supporting only Democratic candidates in partisan races. It actively recruits and supports qualified candidates for public office, with a focus on uplifting transgender voices. The Caucus also works to place transgender individuals in leadership roles at local, state, and national levels.
